Snowshoeing Through Red Squirrel Territory
We were out snowshoeing today-a beautiful, sunny winter day-for the second time this week. How different it was. Earlier this week, it was sunny, cold and quiet. But today, it was sunny and warm and the birds and squirrels were chattering in the trees, which were covered with buds.
It couldn't possibly be spring time already, but it's certainly late winter. Maple syrup farmers are tapping their trees. And our resident red squirrel is out and about.

Big Winter Moon
We had a huge winter moon tonight. Tomorrow is the full moon. It's so bright you can snowshoe or cross-country ski through the woods without a flashlight, as the snow reflects off the moonlight.
